Preparation workshops for children sitting their 4+ Assessments
Given how well our individual and group preparation classes have progressed this year, we have decided to offer children further opportunities to meet, work and play with different adults and children and possibly offer a different venue as well.
Our preparation workshops are all play-based and gently introduce and help consolidate children’s knowledge of the different components that will be tested across all schools so that no matter what comes up, your children will be very well prepared.
We will run two separate workshops at two different times each day. The sessions are booked on either a daily or a weekly basis but different areas will be covered each day. A timetable will be sent out on booking. All courses will be run by specialist teachers, heads of Reception and Year 1 and will be supported by specialist teaching assistants from highly selective North London Schools. All courses will be held in Highgate.
We will also be working with a incredibly experienced drama and movement specialist who has been very successful in supporting children who need a confidence boost for the 4+ be it separating, interaction with peers or speaking up and making eye contact. This workshop will be held in the last week.
We ask that bookings are made early to avoid disappointment. Classes will be a maximum of 10 children to replicate the assessments as closely as possible.
Parents will be provided with a guide on what was covered during the week and how to further support their children at home. If you would like to book a single day slot only, please contact us on contact@mumsinthewood.com for further details. We are also holding parent workshops to help support parents through the process of guiding and helping their children at home.
