Expert Evidence Support
For Families Navigating Separation & Divorce
At Mums in the Wood Education, we provide experienced and carefully considered educational advisory support for families navigating separation, divorce and related family matters, always with the child’s long-term wellbeing, stability and educational interests at the centre of the process.
Our role is to offer clear, independent educational guidance in situations where families may require support understanding school options, assessing educational suitability, evaluating transitions between schools or considering the potential impact of relocation and changes in family circumstances on a child’s education.

We are increasingly asked to assist families, legal representatives and other professionals by providing educational recommendations, written guidance documents and detailed assessments relating to school placement, educational continuity, assessment preparation and broader academic planning.
Because every family situation is different, our approach is always measured, discreet and highly individual. We understand that periods of transition can be emotionally demanding for both parents and children, and we aim to provide calm, thoughtful guidance that helps simplify complex educational decisions and supports constructive forward planning.
Our work in this area draws not only upon our understanding of the independent and state education sectors, but also upon many years of experience supporting children and families across a wide range of educational pathways and personal circumstances.
Above all, our focus remains consistent: ensuring that educational decisions are made carefully, thoughtfully and in a way that supports the child’s confidence, stability and long-term development.
Rajni was instrumental at a critical time, when I needed to act fast on behalf of my child. Not only did she provide very professional, thoughtful, tailored advice, she also supported me navigating through some specific challenges around dealing with my child’s other (high-conflict) parent. She was extremely responsive and worked with me to sort out the most evidence-based, secure/stable next steps for my child’s school progression, writing a detailed, court-ready report comparing secondary school options according to specific criteria. She went above and beyond, working to a tight deadline, and suggesting further support resources.I couldn’t recommend Rajni and her work highly enough!
