Mock Assessments
A mock assessment offers a calm and supportive way to understand where your child is right now, and how best to guide them forward. Rather than feeling uncertain about what to focus on, it provides clarity — highlighting your child’s strengths as well as the areas where a little more support will make the greatest difference.
Each mock is thoughtfully designed to reflect real school entry assessments as closely as possible, while ensuring your child feels secure and encouraged throughout. From the structure and timing to the style of activities, everything is carefully familiarised so that nothing feels unexpected on the day. This helps children approach their assessments with confidence, knowing what to expect and feeling at ease within the process.
Mocks can be introduced early on to establish a clear starting point and shape a well-paced plan for progress. Closer to the assessment, they help children build confidence, resilience and composure under realistic conditions, ensuring they are not only academically prepared, but emotionally ready too.
Following each assessment, you will receive clear, detailed feedback that goes beyond scores alone. We take time to consider your child’s approach, attitude and response to the assessment environment, offering a more complete understanding of how they perform. You will gain a clear sense of where your child is thriving, where further support may be helpful, and how best to move forward. A short follow-up conversation is also available to talk through the report and answer any questions, as well as to discuss school options where appropriate.
We offer a range of assessment options to suit different stages of preparation.
3+ to 5+
Group mock assessments for 3+, 4+ and 5+ run from September to December and can be booked online. Individual mock assessments are also available at any time of year, providing a more focused experience tailored to your child.
Each assessment is conducted in a way that closely mirrors the assessments used by leading schools, covering a broad range of activities presented in a similar format. The aim is to ensure that your child experiences a realistic but supportive environment, where they can demonstrate their ability with confidence.
Above all, we aim to ensure that both you and your child feel informed, supported and well prepared at every stage — with a clear understanding of progress and a thoughtful plan for what comes next.

7+ to 13+
Each assessment is conducted under carefully managed examination conditions and is designed to reflect, as closely as possible, the format and expectations of the most selective independent schools offering entry from 7+ through to the 13+ entry processes. The aim is to provide your child with a realistic yet reassuring experience, allowing them to become familiar with the pace, structure and style of the assessment in a calm and supportive setting.
This not only helps to build confidence, but also gives valuable insight into how your child approaches timed tasks, manages pressure and responds within an assessment environment.
Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed and thoughtful report outlining your child’s performance, approach and areas for development. We look beyond scores alone, considering how your child engages with each element of the assessment so that you have a clear and well-rounded understanding of their current position.
A follow-up consultation is included, during which we talk through the findings with you in detail. Where appropriate, we can also offer guidance on school choices, ensuring that next steps are considered carefully and aligned with your child’s strengths and potential.
