3+ 4+ and 5+ Assessments 2025

As in previous years, Mums In the Wood will be running  the group mock assessment workshops for 2025 at a private residence for children going in for their 3+ 4+ and 5+ assessments over the next few months.

We are very pleased that the workshops and mock assessments have been helpful and have supported parents towards gaining places at their chosen schools and are proud to continue the very high success rate we have, in guiding and supporting children and parents on their educational journeys.

We are acutely aware of little the children are and as such our preparation classes, workshops and mock assessments are structured in a way to ensure that children remain happy and comfortable, retain their curiosity, love of learning and their confidence which is why all our children ask to come back for more.

The children will be provided with an opportunity, 

• to practice separating successfully from parents,
• to interact with other children whom they haven’t met before and
• to remain in an unfamiliar environment with adults they have not met before.
• To engage in structured and unstructured activities and games with their peers
• to familiarise themselves with activities that will be part of their assessments and
• to hone their cognitive skills

Their time with us will be structured in a manner similar to how group assessments are run in schools. Each parent(s) will be provided with a comprehensive report detailing activities and performance, recommendations and suggestions regardless of whether children attend our classes or are taught at home.

We are very pleased to announce that this year, due to growing numbers, we will have more teachers on board. Our assessors will include teachers from highly sought after, selective academic schools who are familiar with, and have/do set up and/ or run the 4+ assessments at their own schools.

Only 4 – 6 places will be allocated as a maximum per time slot, per day to ensure that the required individual attention can be given to each child. We will add more days and times depending on interest should the slots fill up quickly.

All assessments will be taking place at a private residence NOT business premises. All teachers and assessors involved are DBS checked. Please let us know if you would like sight of the Certificates.

More mock assessments and workshops will be scheduled over the coming months if there is enough interest, so please email us if the sessions are full but you would like to be waitlisted/put on a list for a future session.
